Demand rising locally for 45 high-skill, high-paying jobs

The numbers make Geoff Smith shake his head.

Smith, co-chair of the CIO Roundtable of Cincinnati and a former executive at Procter & Gamble, has been working for several years to bridge the gap between high-paying IT jobs in the region and employees who are capable of filling them.

The bad news is there’s a lack of supply on the employee side of that chasm, and a new USA TODAY and Enquirer analysis suggests the demand for many high-skill workers is only going to keep growing.
