Classroom Challenge
Student researchers surveyed their target audience, compiled and analyzed data, and performed a cost analysis as they worked to invent a new gelato flavor. Students were responsible for developing flavors hitting both appropriate cost targets and consumer demographic tastes. The 6th graders concluded their study with marketing strategies and execution as well as a brainstorming session yielding the winning gelato name: Triple Chocolate Dare. The gelato flavor is now available in grocery stores throughout Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
