The Bank of America Charitable Foundation Awards Partnership for Innovation in Education $25,000 for CaseLAB® Career Academy Program

CINCINNATI– (June 2, 2022)–The Bank of America Charitable Foundation recently awarded 32 nonprofit organizations in the Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati areas – nearly $1 million dollars.

“With a $25,000 grant award, we are pleased to announce our selection as a Bank of America partner as we address gaps in urban, public school graduation rates,” stated Mary Welsh Schlueter, Chief Executive Officer of Partnership for Innovation in Education (PIE). “This support from Bank of America allows our Cincinnati Public School students to accelerate their high school graduation into high-quality occupations. Using our CaseLAB® remote and hybrid curriculum, students (age 12-18) can explore and gain industry credentials in transportation, information technology, cybersecurity, and computer programming careers in the Cincinnati region.”

The grant is part of the first round of grants that Bank of America will provide to local nonprofits this year. This round addressed economic mobility for individuals and families, which include investing in workforce development, education and basic needs. These grants are part of the Bank’s commitment to responsible growth as it works to improve the financial lives of individuals and families. Philanthropic and volunteer investments play a key role in this effort to build thriving communities.

“At Bank of America, we’re committed to giving back to our communities and inspiring the next generation,” said Mark Ryan, President, Bank of America, Cincinnati. “PIE’s mission to not only prepare our children for the rapidly evolving marketplace but to instill in them confidence and life skills, ensures our community will be in good hands for years to come.”
